Our Team


People are what make Montrose such an exciting and passionate organisation. Over many years we’ve always had outstanding leadership and benefited from the insights of our patron, independent voluntary board, executive leadership and an amazing team of therapists and support staff.

At Montrose the people and families we assist can be assured we are all working together to achieve the same goals. Our friendly and experienced team of allied health experts, social workers, psychologists, personal care workers and lifestyle support staff provide a ‘one-stop shop’ of services to people with a wide range of physical impairments, autism and developmental delays.

Our Board

Andrew Buchanan

Andrew Buchanan

Andrew Buchanan has volunteered his time and service to the Montrose Board since 2009. Andrew is a retired Lawyer who completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law.

Darryl Stuart

Vice President
Darryl Stuart is the Chief Executive Officer at Medtech Global and has volunteered his time and service to the Montrose Board since 2009. Darryl graduated with a Bachelor of Science and is a member of the Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors. Daryl is the former Director of the Australian Sport Aviation Confederation.

Mark Molesworth

Finance Director
Mark Molesworth has committed his time and service to the Montrose Board since 2010. Mark is a qualified Chartered Accountant and his professional qualifications include a
Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). He is currently Partner, Tax at BDO.

Dr Anita Cairns

Dr Anita Cairns is a respected Paediatric Neurologist who joined the Montrose Board in 2009. Dr Cairns’ professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. She is also involved in the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Peter Cox

Peter joined the Montrose Board in 2013 and has a wealth of experience at the Chief Executive Officer level. Peter was also Managing Director of a fashion design company that he grew nationally and in New Zealand and has also worked in retail management for both David Jones and Myer.

Roz White

Roz was welcomed to the Montrose Board in 2013 and is a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur. She is the co-owner of the White’s IGA Group which operates a number of IGA stores on the Sunshine Coast and has been involved in operating convenience stores for over 20 years.

Liam Prescott

Liam is a partner at DLA Piper where he focuses on commercial litigation and dispute resolution, offering a broad range of experience and practical, direct advice to clients involved in the energy, mining, banking and financial services sectors. He was appointed to the Montrose Board in 2015.

Teresa Pilbeam

Teresa is a parent, carer, teacher and researcher. In her 20 years as a teacher she has worked as a P-12 English, Dance, and Special Education teacher. She is also a board director for Carers Australia, Carers Queensland and sits as a carer representative on the Queensland Carers Advisory Board. She joined the Montrose Board in 2014.

Sean Rooney

Sean Rooney

Sean Rooney has recently committed his time and service to the Montrose Board, joining in June 2016. Sean has 20 years experience in risk management and internal audit services both nationally and internationally.  For the past 10 years, he has worked in the Health and Wellbeing sector assisting clients in both the private and public arena.  He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and his professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws. He is currently and Assurance Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Eddie Ansell

Eddie is Assistant Director, Indigenous and Remote Programmes, Department of Human Services. He has a Diploma of Public Sector Management and was appointed to the Montrose Board in September 2016.

Charles Burke

Charles Burke

Charles Burke is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Queensland Transport and Logistics Council (QTLC) and is the former CEO of AgForce Queensland. Charles has also been a Director of AustSafe Super, and Industry Super fund since December 2007.

Peter Stewart

Peter joined Montrose in June 2015 as General Manager Major Projects. He led a number of IT and infrastructure projects including the implementation of new customer database and finance systems. In October 2017, he was appointed Montrose CEO.

His previous roles include Deputy Director General at the Department of Communities, Queensland where his post included responsibilities for public housing.  Prior to this, in Victoria, he led a team to successfully deliver $2.4b of capital works in Victorian Schools funded through the Economic Stimulus Plan.

Peter has more than thirty years’ experience in the construction and education sectors, and has held roles of Associate Professor and Head of the School of Property, Construction and Project Management at RMIT University. Earlier in his career he worked for Fluor Daniel, and with the Victorian Public Works Department and Ministry of Education.
