Occupational Therapist – Sunshine Coast

Full-Time

We are looking for a full time Occupational Therapist for our Sunshine Coast office. You will be working onsite at our office in Birtinya and offsite servicing the greater Sunshine Coast region.

To join the team, you’ll need (selection criteria):

  • Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Prior experience in paediatrics and working with people with autism is preferred.  Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice.

To be considered for this role, you must also have:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Current CPR certificate (or able to obtain prior to commencement).
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
  • Current or be eligible to apply for a Working with Children Check (blue card) & Disability Services positive notice card (yellow card).
  • Excellent administration, attention to detail & computer skills.

Allied Health Assistant – Gold Coast

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Allied Health Assistant to join our team in the Gold Coast region for approximately 8-10 hours a week. Physiotherapist – Logan

Full – Time

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to help service and grow our Logan customers, working on a full-time basis to cover a 15 month contract role. The rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across Queensland will enable us to help more people reach their goals through therapy and support services.

Let’s start with the basics. To have a chat with us about this role you must have:

  • Mandatory recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA (or ability to obtain registration).
  • Experience and / or interest in paediatrics and / or physical impairment is preferred.  Montrose will support experienced therapists who want to make a transition to paediatric practice.

  • Design, implement and evaluate interventions for children and young adults with physical and other associated disabilities and developmental delay.

Direct Support Workers – Multiple Locations

We regularly recruit Direct Support Workers for customers in a number of areas.

 

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical requirements of providing support as a Direct Support Worker.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the care needs of customers with complex needs.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professional practice in the support of individual’s rights and choices
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality in a working environment
  • Current ‘C’ class Australian driver’s licence.
  • Ability to use and access a range of ICT systems and media
  • Be eligible to apply for a working with children check (blue card) and an exemption notice (yellow card) through The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services
  • Be an Australian or NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident, or have a relevant visa.

Montrose Therapy and Respite Services has been supporting Queensland children and young people with disabilities since 1932, through services that help them maximise their lives to achieve personal goals. What is the Role?

We are looking to hire multiple support workers to provide in-home support to customers during their stay, assisting with personal care, daily activities, achievement of goals and life skills.  Predominantly responsible for the overnight care of customers.

Please note that you must have the availability to work flexible working hours – including early starts, late finishes, Awake shifts (10pm-7am) & sleepovers.

Our Getaway centre in Labrador is a newly established facility with modern, high quality equipment. This centre offers customers the opportunity to have a short break with their friends and peers in the heart of the Gold Coast, with easy access to Theme parks, beaches, shopping and restaurants.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide physical and personal care to customers.
  • General light domestic duties.
  • Assisting customers to attain their goals.
  • Maintain customer progress notes.
  • Communicate with supervisors and peers.
  • Maintain customer and family confidentiality.
  • Providing assistance on a casual basis/ up to but not limited to 3 days a week.
